What compiler can be used to compile the code from github? I would like to buy the quadcopter and setup a development platform to modify the code? Sorry if this has already be covered but I cannot find directions anywhere?

You need SimpleIDE to compile the Propeller side, and that should be it. Load the .side project file and go. You'll need Qt 5.x to compile GroundStation. I can't recall if it's 5.5, 5.7, or 5.7, but there's a strong chance any of those will work fine.

Thanks all - that worked. Compiled and loaded into my Propeller Educational Kit processor. Of course it didn't do anything. But it did compile and load. Guess I'll be ordering a Elev-8 quadcopter.
