Propeller tool

So this is stupid and probably a computer question more so than a question for the forum, but anyways, I have been using the prop tool for a while now, today I go to open it by clicking the icon and all that happens is the purple screen shows up, then nothing, the program shows that it is not responding. I removed it and reinstalled it a couple times, but I still have the same problem. Anyone have any ideas I am running vista on hp pavilion dv9000.

Looks more like a vista problem. (As I would have expected. ) Better you ask in a Windows forum / news group.

I'm also using vista, and propeller tool 1.2.5. I was able to get a little more than the purple welcome screen. Now none of my other parallax programs have a problem with vista, just the propeller tool. Running as admin, didn't help, but setting compatibility mode to xp sp2 makes things work. Right click on the icon, in the start menu, select properties, the click on the compatibility tab, then click in the box, to activate xp sp 2, then click on ok.

Well the tool started working again with no change by me. I have no idea why it stopped working. For a while it would only work if I was logged on as a different user. That was weird.
