Here's an online tool you can use to convert post addresses from the old forum to those in the new forum:

It works with posts and emoticons, but not with attachments or links to user profiles.

Phil,
Got a couple that will not convert.
http://forums.parallax.com/forums/de...2&x=100&ord=ld
and
http://forums.parallax.com/forums/de...f=5&p=13&ord=v
Edit: This was from a Google search and the address looks to be truncated, so it may not be a Parallax problem.

Those don't work because there's no message ID (e.g. m=12345). So there's no post to cross-reference.

Thanks Phil,
I was sure they were a little short, (with no ID). Not sure why Google did that, or was it the migration? I'm just worried people doing a Google search will not be able to reach the threads.
Now that the new search function is working quite well, it may not be too much of a problem.

When Google spiders and enumerates pages in a forum, some of the addresses it finds are just forum and page number -- you know, those pages that just list thread titles in the forum with links to click on, like one that you referenced (converted to parallaxinc.com):
Unfortunately for searches, the contents of such a page change by the hour. In such cases, it's always better to view Google's cached copy rather than going to a hopelessly outdated URL.

I had some urls that did not convert. Then I realized the number at the end was duplicated in some way. I removed the duplication and it converted. This converter really works great! But you didn't reply to the key point. Can you make it a sticky?
