Thread: PPDB Junkbot

    Default PPDB Junkbot

Finally got my camera back to take some photos of my current bot.

    PPDB Junkbot! :)

The base is an empty PPDB prototype board I found in the Parallax freebie table at UPEW last year.
The board you see in the bottom is a mini iPod audio amp I got at the surplus store, the speaker is
from one of those musical cards.

While it isn't finished, it already supports music and will be loaded with Mike's Femto for bots.
(with some modifications for sound. :)

To be added are a microphone circuit, as well as some additional sensors for detection of objects.

Nice bot OBC! Doesn't look too junky to me.

    Thanks Whit!

Actually, there's more "junk" slated to be added to this bot.

I blame Ken mostly for the kick in the rear to do this one..
I was on the phone with him and he started talking about the S2 doing Commodore style sounds and speech.
(For some reason it just hadn't occurred to me that the objects should go together on a bot.. Duh..)

Hopefully mine will be moving and talking tonight. :)

That robot looks pretty cool. It seems the propeller protoboard is showing up in a lot of robots now.
