Anybody have any information on it?

Theres no coil in them, just a hefty magnet. I'm not sure sure about the exact age, but not very old. Maybe early mid '90s. They are Yamahas rated at 6 ohms
Hello,
I am trying to interface 2 3-contact speakers for a new project. I have never heard of a 3 wire speaker before and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Any help is...
Thanks, but how exactly do I do this. I think it is somewhere in the option register(?), but not sure where. Can the speed be changed to any frequency below 1/2 operating ferquency?
Thanks,

I don't mean how long the string of pulses will last, I mean how long each pulse last. I want to use PWM to control motors (by toggling enable). However, the maximum frequency that my motor driver...
Hello everybody,
Does anyone know the frequency for the PWM command in SX/B. Also, is it constant, or dependant on clock speed?
Thanks,
Robert Schwartz
The short answer is yes. However, each RAM chip is connected differently so we will need part numbers to tell you exactly how to connect/interface them.
I've built a BEAM walker along the lines of the one in Junkbots, Bugbots, and Bots on Wheels. Now, I generally use solar engines charging up capacitors/batteries to power a microcontroller based...

In general, you should use sockets instead of just soldering DIP packed ICs on a board. The heat from a soldering iron can damage the IC and soldering it directly to a board is (relatively)...
You can use SX's. With SX/B, the transistion from Stamps to SX's is relatively painless. In a lot of situations, you can use a Basic Stamp 1, which will save money. The OEM version of the basic...
That doesn't necessarily make them obsolete...
I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. You will probably need to use an external EEPROM to store persistant data (like on the tomagochi how it would repeat phrases that it heard).
Looks like a poorly desgned battle-bot after it lost a match and was scrapped. Looks bad, and doesn't run quite straight. :)
I definately love how you spend $300 just to twisty tie on the battery...
I tihnk that I will just use a single-board 386 computer or maybe a bootloadind PIC. Thanks for all the help guys.
Couldn't you implement a system that will watch for the interrupt, and then take action after the current command is done? Or is that what polled interupts are?
Since the values of pw(x) are always equal to eachother (pwa = pwj), why not just use one to control all of the servos?
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't understand the problem.

I wanted to be able to run a program off an EEPROM in a ZIF socket to run a SX52. You could just swap EEPROMS to have different functions. Paul, I think that I will just switch to a 386 or similar....
Thanks James, but that sounds a bit too complicated for me. Do you know if this is possible on PIC chips or Amtel Mega's?
Is it possible to write a program to an external EEPROM and have the SX run it?

There are solonoid valves that can be used to power a air muscle, and there are a few very interesting robots that use these. With those however, power (CO2 levels) becomes a very great issue. High...
Yes, that is why simple robots commonly use comparators as brains. These types of circuits are actually pretty flexible. They can be easily modified to track lines, objects, light or avoid any of...
Unless you need good accuracy, there is no point in using them.
Searches on the macromedia page and google showed no good results. As Paul said, Flash being able to access the computer at a hardware level could provide an easy path for more malicious purposes,...
