Re: looking for a logic chip

Thank you for the help...I was hoping for a nice simple logic chip:)...CPLD looks like the best option...however...I would need it in a DIP...

    looking for a logic chip

Is there a simple logic chip available that takes input from one pin...over two clocks/two inputs...and outputs the data on two seperate pins...an example 8 bit data could be convert to 16 bit data...

    Is 18-bit VGA display possible

Just a proof of concept…has anyone tried to use three separate cogs to drive 18-bit color VGA. Since the propeller is basically setup to drive 6-bit VGA…is it possible to use three cogs…one for...

    Propeller Project Board USB

Is the Propeller Project Board USB coming back soon...I have been waiting over two months to order one...it is the best platform for using VGA:)
  7. Sticky: Re: Open Propeller Project #6: Open Source Verilog for Propeller 1

    open source p1 core...very cool

Hardware design (Verilog) is above my knowledge...however, someone needs to make a BEMicro CV (nice price) P1, with more speed, more COGS, more hub memory, 16 to 32...
  8. Re: Ruminations while awaiting an FPGA image (was "Hello...... Anyone out there?")

My guess...the p2 will live only as a FPGA image...and parallax will produce fpga boards that include the image...but then again it is just a guess:)

    Using propeller standard SPI interface

Using two propellers (A and B) and a SPI interface...how fast (or how many bytes per second) can you send data between them...for example...how long would in take to send 4,000 byte from Propeller...

Re: The New 16-Cog, 512KB, 64 analog I/O Propeller Chip

    Chip

Looks good...hubexec at 50% should be just fine...it will give people incentive to think creatively in using cog memory for faster code:) Plus the option of using hubexec.

Re: Putting smarts into the I/O pins

I don't fully understand how the 'smart' pins will work...but I am guessing??? that they can/could be used to bring back color modulation and one line composite video?

Re: The New 16-Cog, 512KB, 64 analog I/O Propeller Chip

Would it be possible to set the number of cogs that can access the hub memory...therefore increasing the bandwidth to hub memory...

etc have a setting so all 16 cogs access memory..one to set it...

Re: The New 16-Cog, 512KB, 64 analog I/O Propeller Chip

    Chip

Looks great...I might need to buy a DE0-Nano to do some testing:)

I would not worry about the code compatibility (with the P1) or the loss of the composite color modulation...Composite...

Re: We're looking at 5 Watts in a BGA!

I could not agree more...great post...

Chip if you could solve/include a hub exec routine in the 16 cog p1 plus model...that feature might be the best of both worlds

I like the new ideas....512 RAM rocks...it satisfies my needs more pins, more speed, more memory, and more cogs...BUILD IT:)

Plus less items to test out...
