Ha.......

I've gone further than most. I got so deep, I spent $70,000.00 to build electronics. Now that is an addiction.

The only problem...now that I'm building them, I have no time to play with them.

LOL!!

IMHO, there are worse things in this world than some minor --even major league addiction to micro-electronics, and the community surrounding them here.

Personally, I consider it an absolutely wonderful problem to have.

Yea....but the company and I would love to make it to a UPEN or UPEW to give some free lectures on surface mount or information for assembly preparation.

Plus...it would be fun to get with the Prop heads for some ideas and fun.

Can't seem to swing it yet......maybe one day.

I think it is all Chips fault,

If he hadn't conceived such an incredible processor that can used in so many different fields for so many different applications
we wouldn't all have these problem's.

Wait till the Propeller II hits the market.

At work we have been sent a flip top 3" "Panic Button". It's just a small micro with a EEPROM set up to go to the company, that sent it, website. I was going to reprogram it to go somewhere rude, and leave it lying around. Now I suppose that it could be set to this forum.

Nothing is impossible, there are only different degrees of difficulty.

For every stupid question there is at least one intelligent answer.

Don't guess - ask instead.

If you don't ask you won't know.

If your gonna construct something, make it as simple as possible yet as versatile as posible.

Yes - that's the answer... Blame someone else... It's not my fault the Propeller is so addictive, Chip must have known he was creating a dangerously addictive drug...

I feel much better knowing that I'm not alone with my problem (well, this problem at least :-) ).

So .. THANKS THERAPY BUDDIES.

(does this mean I can claim my addiction on my healthy insurance??)

While in Japan (was in the Marine Corps then), a wise old Japanese man told me, " You can never learn anything with your mouth open."

I figure the same is true with typing.

Here are the top ten warning signs of Propeller addiction:

10. Dishes are piled high in the sink.

9. The grass is a foot high.

8. You haven't switched from daylight savings time yet.

7. You always seem to steer casual conversation (assuming you ever have any) to Propeller matters.

6. You see life's decisions (assuming you still make any) in terms of IF-THEN and CASE statements.

5. Your pets sit staring at empty food dishes.

4. Your kids sit staring at empty food dishes.

3. Your kids and pets are fighting over that kibble behind the sofa.

2. Your significant other seems to be using a lot more air freshener lately.

1. Your significant other has taken out a "personals" ad on CraigsList.

But rest assured, your family still loves you and, even though you can "quit anytime", they will be staging an intervention soon. So now would be a good time to hide that backup stash of Propeller gear in the attic. :-)

0. (and any real geek counts down to zero) You find yourself looking for new ways to work "COG" into ordinary conversation.

I have some more:

11. You have programmed a propeller to make decisions for you, of those only one is real work, the other 35 involve something with a propeller.

12. You are constantly ignored by your wife, because she is afraid you may talk about programming or circuitry to her. And she really doesn't care.

Here's another,

When you see the word Prop, Propeller, or spin, no matter what it is referring to, you instantly think "Propeller Chip" and have the urge to program and build Propeller circuitry.

If you are still in school then you can add in....

When doing Geometry you are snapped to attention if you are working with angle/triange COG, ASM, or even OBC!!!
