Hey there,

Not many companies have customers as wonderful as ours.

Parallax customers and friends just finished raising over $12,000 for their favorite charity. In exchange for a couple of our Penguin robots and a small SMT rework kit (we had some production troubles), each of our customers donated $100 or more to a charity of their choice. Just take a look at who they supported and the amount they donated (amounts in USD):

That's a fairly wide cross-section of charities!

We have many people to thank for this success! First, our engineer David Carrier identified the fix to the Penguin circuit board's FTDI circuitry. Andrew Williams prepared some extensive rework documentation and identified the bill of materials required for the customer rework. Our kitters Mark Saleh and Josh Nezelek put the bird kits together. Then forum member JohnR (AKA Raffy) managed the process of verifying donations and providing the shipping list and color choices to Parallax. Our sales staff entered all the UPS data and the shippers packed them up! And in the background forum member Humanoido has written a lifetime of Penguin code for everybody to use.

Maybe somebody will put a mini Propeller board on their Penguin. We are truly appreciative of you, our customers and friends. You make Parallax much more than a business.
