Need circuitry help using acclerometer

I am building a sensor using the Basic Stamp microcontroller and a memsic accelerometer in order to test the acceleration of a putter head throughout the putting motion. I need help with a circuit which will turn on a led with a positive acceleration in either the x or y axis. If you could provide any assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Which accelerometer and which stamp? You could do this with a battery and a piece of wire with a weight on it. Show us your proposed code too.

It is the Memsic Dual-Axis 2125 and I'm using the BASIC Stamp 2 Homework Board. I have found a code and circuit setup that measures tilt which I think I can use but I'm confused on how exactly to run this LED off of it just for positive acceleration.

If you orient the memsic correctly you will get values for positive and negative tilt/acceleration. test for this and only light the led if you get positive values.

And quit posting messages on the same request. It's bad manners.
