How do you connect a mic to a BS2, what is a motor driver circuit for the L293D chip,
and how do you modify a servo (standard Parallax) into a CR servo? burger.gif

    Bugg: The stamp is much to slow to deal with amplified audio from a mic. Having said that, there are things that can be done once the audio has been squared up and converted to logic levels. You can then measure the average frequency or measure pulse width. If you are dealing with steady tones, then meaningful calculations can be made, but making heads or tails of voice audio is a lost cause. It would help to state what you want to accomplish with the mic. As you have found, the search engine has been on vacation for some time now.

    easy enough, your just measuring dBs. Set up the mic in typical bias (chipcorder pdfs show the circuit, online search should also show some example circuits) amp the output, then feed it to something like this circuit:

    (ie integrate the signal, compare the amplitude of the signal to some threshhold, then·extend the pulse width)

    Though this circuit may provide false positives (turn your stereo way up and the lights will switch on and off) if you want a "smarter" unit, youll need a bandpass after the first amp tuned to a frequency that is above a woofer's response, knock the pulse extender off the circuit and use the BS to measure the pulse width, rejecting all signals outside a range of acceptable pulse widths. Whether this is capable of being achieved using a BS, I cannot answer (Im a SX user).

    Thanks, Paul. Actually, the woofer is what I'm trying to do.
    You would make a loud noise and my Boe-Bot would start moving.
