hi group, I'm going to be teaching an electronics workshop and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a cheap ($10-$15 range) soldering iron that isn't a total disaster. I know it's better to use a better iron, but I don't want to make everyone buy a expensive iron just for this workshop.

You could try Radio Shack...They've got a halfway decent Dual-Wattage iron for $10.49....Not a big fan of Radio Shack, for alot of reasons...But I have been buying parts from them for a long while.· They do when I need something in a hurry, or if I just need one of something.· or for replacement soldering iron tips...tongue.gif
