Hi all...

·· I am looking for powersupply circuits to use to power a BS-2 project.· I do not want to use a wall wart.· What I am looking for specifically is a 5 volt circuit supplying about 2 amps, and a 9 volt circuit supplying about 2 amps.

·· I don't want any switching powersupplies.· Both of these power supplies will be incorporated into a prototyping breadboard device that will have the BS-2 BOE and a number of solderless breadboard on top.· (The powersupplies will be inside the unit, with just a line cord comming out the back.)

·· Any help or refrences to a web address would be most appreciated.

·· Thankyou in advance!

This could easily be done by going down to your local Radio Shack and buying a 12V Power Transformer, a Bridge Rectifier, Some Caps, and a couple of Voltage Regulators.· Using 78xx regulators you can get 1A to 1.5A from each of 5V & 9V outputs with proper heat sinking.· If you need more current capability, use a 2N3055.· Radio Shack also sells books on building power supplies, although I have found in the past that·the Engineer's Notebooks that cover the individual regulators are a better source of simple supply schematics for beginners.
