Are then any companies that will take a PBASIC program and put it onto a
PIC?

Commercial use or non-commercial use ?

If the latter, I suspect one of us on the Stamp List might be able to
accomodate
you. I would happily generate the code for you, but my hardware setup is in
a bit
of disarray at the moment, so I'd beg off on "cutting" the PIC. You would also
have to check into which PIC you might want to use; although there are
certain
defacto units which are often used.

If the former, I'd suggest you purchase the software Micro Engineering Labs(*)
[MEL] - either their PBASIC or PBASIC Pro translators. They will take Stamp
PBASIC Input Statements (PBASIC = Stamp I, PBASIC Pro = Stamp II) and produce
assembler macros, which then can be assembled with provided assemblers, for
later loading and embedding ("cutting" above) into a PIC.

(*) Other offerings do exist, but this is a commercially supported product

One also needs a PIC programmer to accompish this task for Stamp I or Stamp
II
syntax, and the MEL "system". For Stamp I syntax, without outside support,
other specific case options do exist.

The MEL Software can be purchased directly from them, or from some of the
other
vendors who support the Stamp/PIC community. I purchased mine from Chuck
Hellebuyck
at www.elproducts.com since he had a package deal at the time. You'd have
to check
his website for details.

Hope that helps

Regards,

Bruce

**IMPORTANT ADDITION

Lest I not forget, Micro Engineering Products are also available in Canada

(that should keep NAFTA off my back <smile> Hi Mark !).

I would assume there are several. Most consultants would do this but it
will not necessarily be cheap. If you are interested in a quote contact me
off list. You can also get a basic compiler and compile your code and load
it into a PIC. There are several ways to go.
