My question can a BS-1 or BS-2 (Reg or SX) Put out a frequency based on a
voltage input. I need to acoustic couple a varied voltage with a max P-P of 1
Volt to a receiver at the other end of a phone line to re-produce the same
wave form at the other end. Such as in medical telemetry. The center
frequency at o volts needs to be 1400 Hz. Any suggestions to get started
would be helpful.

it's a frequency to voltage converter.. (half of what you're looking for) and
I'm
pretty sure there are chips out there to do the opposite.

You are quite correct, and the Burr-Brown VFC32 and VFC320 are two that
I have looked at myself. These are amazing devices in what they can
accomplish - far more than just the obvious V-F and F-V conversions.
The data sheets tell volumes about their capabilites.
