Hi,
··· Does anyone know any rechargable batteries (along with the recharger or recharging-circuit) that I can use to run a 2p40 along with two typical IC's and 2 LEDs? I need it to be light-weight (less then 20 grams).

You can try one of the 5 cell packs (6v) or buy the cells in bulk and build your own - http://www.hobbyshopper.com/batteries.html

They weigh about 20 grams (5 cell pack) and are 150mAh NiMh cells. They can be charged using a trickle charger outputting 15mA... normal charge time is 18 hours at this rate.

I am using a modle electric airplane battery.· Rated at 7.4 volts and 1800ma - weighs 62 grams and is about one-third larger that a 9V battery.· This came with an R/C airplane and it included a recharger.

Since the voltage regulator would like as close to 5.5 volts as possible because it throws off more heat, I am happier with this than a 9volt cell and it weights less than 4 AA cells - plus much more output
