Empty trays to give away

Over the last 5 years a pile of empty propeller trays has been accumulated in a corner of my workshop. It's probably 20kg or 4ft³. Is there any chance to recycle them or should I throw them away? I remember that ~20 years ago my distributor sent coupons for return shipment. But now in the days of cheap plastic from China shipping might cost more than new trays...

    I’ve taken my empty trays to local non-profits, either “creative reuse” or “urban ore”. School teachers find use for them in projects. What they do,I’m not sure, but imagine, youngsters weave through the holes with colorful yarn, or they tie multiple panels together to build a structure. They take a lot of stuff that has out of the box potentials. Battery trays, cable reel cores, what have you in numbers.
