Strange arrival and departure of a thread in Blocky

Hello!
In Blocky I saw a thread which rightly belonged in the BASIC Stamps thread, talk about a sensor box for something else, possibly a High Altitude Balloon project, surface. All of the threaded items were from 2010, and perhaps 2009. I recognized the USB delivering datalogging device. and wondered about the rest of it. Finally find the last entry and it was promoting a spam thing. I did not click on the lick.
Is it possible that the Forum managers saw that and killed an entire innocent thread that landed in the wrong area by accident simply because of that useless entry? Call me curious.

Some spam was posted which pushed the thread to the top of the stack, and now with those comments removed the thread has drifted back down to 2011 !
