  If it is really I2C interface, the BS2 *can* communicate with it. The code to do so uses up about half of a BS-2 (well, maybe a third or fourth). See column 115 in Vol 5 of Nuts and Volts for a
  JonnyMac tutorial.
  
  BS2p or better has I2C built in.
