BS2 with external EEPROM

Does anybody know if the BS2 can communicate and store data in the "256 Kb (32 KB) Industrial I2C Serial EEPROM"(#602-00032)? If so, how does this work?

  • If it is really I2C interface, the BS2 *can* communicate with it. The code to do so uses up about half of a BS-2 (well, maybe a third or fourth). See column 115 in Vol 5 of Nuts and Volts for a
    JonnyMac tutorial.

BS2p or better has I2C built in.
Re-inventing the wheel is not a waste of time if, when you are done, you understand why it is round.
  • Thank you, I will check it out. By the way, nice quote.
