Programming SX28AC/SS-G

Hi all,

I'm in the middle of putting a flash program on a batch of SX28AC/SS-Gs, using a Xilinx superpro 3000 programmer. The issue I'm having is that it's taking 3:30's to program, which is quite a long time for such a small buffer. I'm not experienced with his chip but can pretty much confirm it's not the programmer.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? Is there a better way to program a big lot of chips? Thanks!

  • Use an SX-Blitz or SX-Key.

With those the programming is slower than PIC's but not 3 minutes plus.

Iconstuctx has leftover SX-Keys for $60. Believe it's flat rate $10 shipping from Texas.

You can get free shipping if you get one straight from Parallax for a bill.

    Happy Holidays!

  • Okay.

Are you using the Parallax SX Editor to compile?

Also have you tested the chip after you've programmed it?

SX Editor will produce a hex. Then you reach in with your programmer software to load it in and then program.
