Propeller Activity Board -Hardware ID Missing

I downloaded and installed the usb driver for the propeller activity board but I keep getting a Hardware ID Missing error when connecting the board. I've gone to both sites to try and update the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled but no use. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

    Try rebooting after installing, and if that does not work try uninstalling, rebooting, installing, and rebooting.

    Rebooting refers to the PC of course.
