Jen announced a "Parallax Expo" here: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?137077 Is this a replacement for UPEW or in addition to it? It's a combination of the two.

    Wow, earlier every year.

    Fortunately they managed to squeeze the dates right in between the Spokane FRC competition and the St Louis Championship.

    The Parallax Expo will combine the Unofficial Propeller Expo West with our community National Robotics Week event. Propeller presentations and vendors will still remain in the same area of the building. Other activities will take place outside around the building. Tickets are selling fast and it's shaping up to be a big event!

    Got my ticket, too.

    Will there be a group rate for Staybridge?

    I'm in - provided work doesn't get in the way (which happened for 2/3 of last year's expos).

    It's great to hear you're all attending! Yes, there are group rates set up at the Staybridge in Rocklin. We also negotiated rates with the Hyatt Place in Roseville. Both places have rooms for $89+ tax if you ask for the Parallax Expo rate.

    You have it correct. We are combining UPEW with a general Parallax Expo (PEXPO) to draw a larger crowd. The event is occurring during National Robotics Week so we have all kinds of activities occurring on Friday and Saturday. On Friday the crowd will be more general public and some Propeller-heads, but mostly only UPEW on Saturday.

    We are limiting registration to a few hundred, so get your name into the system!

    UPEW definitely part of the larger event! We've got access to the same suite at Parallax we've used for all the UPEW events as well as the addition of more Parallax stuff..

    Hi All;

    So I'm gathering then that there no activity on Sunday? Or an "all nighter" as on previous occasions? With a different focus on Friday, then that might make the total time for presenters a little tight if that only leaves time for those on Saturday......

    I missed last year, so looking forward to seeing everyone again!

    Cheers,

    erco hopes to come! I reserved 2 tickets. Parallax makes it all so easy.

    Do the wives come and pretend to be interested, or go shopping, or stay back at the hotel and do each others' hair? :)

    I'm sure erco meant to type 'disinterested partner' rather than WIVES so as not to offend anyone on a gender, partner status or lack of interest basis.

    I missed out last year too. Saving pennies as you read this!

    Early too! WOW! That changes things up a bit for me. Gotta plan a "work" trip to Sac!
