Serial programming tool parts.

I have the diagram to build the serial programming tool so I can play propellers while I wait for my USB2SER, can I use·general purpose transistors instead of the actual part numbers specified ?
I was thinking BC337 and BC327, so that I can source them at our local component shop.

Cheers,
Chris

    Probably -- it's a simple level-shifting circuit.

    Thanks Jon,

I just wanted a bit of re-assurance before I fried one of my 2 props.

    Cheers,

They're not that delicate -- if you're worried at all, though, wait for your USB2SERs.

I'll knock one up, I have 3.3v regs·in stock·so it will be simple.

As always, Thanks for your replies here.

    Cheers, Chris

The 2N3904 and 2N3906 are the epitome of "general purpose transistors" I think the 337/327 are more or less counterparts to them.
