Hello,
I was wondering if someone here could help me with this problem. I had bought these GP2D120 sensors originally to connect to a PIC16F876 chip. I am now using a Basic Stamp 2 due to time contraints and now I need to figure out how to get data from these sensors to my Basic Stamp 2. You see, I built a robot that utilizes an accelerometer for two wheel balancing. The acclerometer works great but I want to compare the results I get with that sensor to the results I get to GP2D120 sensors. I do not have time to buy a ADC0831 because of the outragous shipping costs and I have to present this project by friday. The only way I could think of getting this analog data converted into digital data for the Basic Stamp is to somehow write a simple program for my working PIC circuit to function as my ADC0831. Am I complicating a simple problem? Is there a simple way to measure distance with these sensors without an interface. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
