Does anyone know the range for the color sensor? It looks like it is only 1 inch...

I would like to use it for long range though... guess I should have bought some sort of camera instead .

    ... I just got my first basic stamp today and I am very happy.

    The only thing that is a little disturbing is that there is a sticker on the colour sensor box saying ...

    Some goofy lawmaker somewhere decided that solder has lead, and somebody could eat it, so warnings must be placed on products that contain solder. Before too long, all solder will be lead-free. We are (by force) moving that direction.
