how to program a stepper motor

I have tried going to the parallaxinc.com website to look for similar
programs which i can "learn" from. Unfortunately, all those
information there are based on servo motors. As i am very new to
everything, i couldn't make sense of all that is there....
I hope someone will be able to help me find information on
programming the stepper motor using basic stamp 1

There is a Stamp I example in Parallax's Application Note #6 - you can find
it at the end of the Stamp I manual. Be aware that there are different kinds
of steppers and also different step sequences -- this is just one possible
way to do it.
