controlling stamps without physical contact

Hello this is cory again I now need to know how to send a message or
(program)to my robot with out physical contact. I was thinking maybe
some kinda r\c car controler but i dont really Know how. Any
advicewould really help me out. I would like to end up with a robot
in one room that can be controled by a person at a computer in
another. I would then like to expand that in to a robot being
controled from a person in another state or country using the
internet.
