Random, Help Need Advice

As part of a school GCSE project I need to find a way to solve the
following problems, any help is greatly appreciated.
I need to use Basic Stamp 1 to generate a randon number however I
need to either 1) find a way of generating the randon numbers
1,2,3,4,5 or 6 or 2) Defining groups of numbers (out of the total
65,535) to different numbers. For example numbers 0-109,22 as number
1, numbers 109,23-218,45 as number 2 etc, etc for all six.
I also need to latch this number, generate another number (1-6 again)
but it can't be the same and then add them!
