Tracy Allen had a great reply (Digest 7 of 10 Apr 2000) to the question
about the signal from PIRs.

THANKS for the excelllent post Tracy! In addition to be very informative,
it was well written and edited- e.g., consise quoting of the question, no
HTML, etc. Which brings up why this is not just an email to Tracy as it
otherwise would be:

The s/n on this list is about 10x lower than the other lists I 'm on;
however, the "signal" (such as Tracy's!) keeps me on the list. For those
that quote entire threads, post HTML, etc., *please* take a few seconds to
do some editing before you post. The the s/n would increase dramatically
(and my PgDn finger would sure appreciate it!) TIA!

    I am new to this email stuff, but I find the threads helpful when following
    problem solutions. Is there a better way to follow threads? What is this
    digest?

    Thanks,
