Filtering IR''s

I finally narowed down my problem with my IRODS. Like mostpeople
told me, it was my IR's they were not filtering correctly. I am using
a BSX and board of education. The project that I am "trying" to do is
# 4 in the BOE book. But for some reason my IR's so not pick up
correctly like I said last time. I have the Sharp IS1U621/IS1U621L IR
recievers. But I was told that I have a filtering problem with it,
how can I fix it? what am I supposed to do? I tried seperating the IR
leds and the Recievers, but it still only picks up very seldom. What
is wrong with it, I followed the schematic exactly? It would be a
help "again" if some one could help me out here, I am a little
