A few forum niggles ...

1. Before the update, clicking an offsite link would open a new tab. That was a useful feature that doesn't always behave that way now.

2. The number of posts for members is no longer displayed. This was useful information for identifying spammers whose post counts are typically five or fewer.

3. Clicking "Mark All Viewed" no longer refreshes the screen.

  • The immediate goal was to correct the issue with the old CAPTCHA plugin failure. There were several plugins that we had to disable in order to complete the upgrade. Now we're working through updating plugins or replacing them if an update is no longer available. It's a process that will take a few days, but we are working on it.

    I also want to note that the server was upgraded about 15 minutes ago to accommodate the huge influx of web crawlers that arrived post-upgrade. The beefier server appears to be handling the load much better.
