In Japan you can still find lots of magazines with all kinds of electronic projects. Even down to transistor-based projects, like the mags we used to have some decades ago.
I do hope that print material does not completely go away. I use a Panasonic Toughpa for tablet things, such as viewing photographs and keeping notes, but I do not like e-books. Hurts my eyes after a while.
Thank the cat gods I live near a moderate size university and can go to their library and read real books and periodicals. Since I am considered both an "academic" and a "senior citizen", I have the same library privileges as an undergrad. So if there is an article that I would like, they will get it for me as a photocopy.
