Move slow and break nothing

Interesting post on TechCrunch that agrees with Chip's point about how software systems have become unreliable.

    Yes.

If you ever find yourself in a software development team where the powers that be suddenly get the "agile development methodology" virus into their mind, quit immediately.

Also a very good argument as to why we should demand everything should be Open Sourced all the time. We stand a lot more chance of keeping the things we depend on running and fixing problems if we can open the lid. Not just software, hardware as well.

Also a very good argument for not relying on single suppliers of the the things we depend on. Be it Intel, Microsoft, Google, Facebook etc.

Basically in tune with everything that Richard Stallman and the like have been saying for many decades now.

This is absolutely TRUE!! I put up with several years of this utter nonsense and it was horrible!

Well, perhaps better to start looking for another job immediately just in case?
