Robot Headlights

Found >these< while bopping around ebay.
Between the small size and the convenient center mounting hole, they look perfect for robot headlights. Now you'll never have to compromise on your headlight color!

Ended up buying 8 of them for some of my projects. (Updates coming soon)

P.S. I blame erco, he's a bad influence! :)
(Keep up the good work, man!)

Good call... Blaming erco, that is!

  • Have you seen the CREE LEDs, too? They'd make absolutely blinding robot headlights (but no color control).
  • @Ken Reserving those for the high-beams :)

I think I remember seeing somewhere that someone used those to make a 90k lumen flashlight.....
  • Hey Ken, if you want blinding, I still have some 3 watt RGB LEDs that are surface mount, but easy to solder as a TH part due to the size of their legs. I could give you some to play with if you sign a waiver... Seriously though, let me know if you want some and I would be happy to drop them off at Parallax.
