BS2 code help

I'm having trouble coding my boebot for sumo. With the code in the attached file I'm trying to get my bot to back up and pivot when its QTI's sense the white line. What ends up happening is that it might do it correctly a few time but then it'll back up up and its pivot time would be really short and keep on doing that as it keeps running into the line.
