Problem with Parallax Laser Range Finder

As I posted earlier I received a couple of these devices. I opened the second one yesterday and it seems to have a problem. More often than not it reports back a "0" distance (D = 0000mm). I have it in my shop along side the other device that works fine so I know the environment is not the problem. I tried the re-calibration and exposure but no difference.

    I would have followed up in your previous thread, rather than start a new thread so we know what has been covered so far.

    This is a different sensor than what the original post was about. I ordered 2 at the time. Opened 1 to test it out. That's when I questioned it's accuracy.

    This problem is not related to the first post at all.

    This sounds familiar. Are you working with Miguel in Tech Support on this already?
