National Robotics Week April 2-10, Any S3's on the Docket?

Just 2.5 weeks to National Robotics Week: http://www.nationalroboticsweek.org/ April 2-10

What shall we do? Careful, some events claim to start early, on April Fools day... http://www.nationalroboticsweek.org/Events.aspx

@Ken: Will S3's be shipping by then? St. Patrick's Day would also be a GREAT day for green robots... :)

Or maybe in honor of April Fools Day, a robot that just avoids being turned off (think useless machine on wheels).
  • Or, seeing that they make trading cards, get a head start and create some 2017 P2-based robot cards during the 2016 event! Then we can all vote on the one we want to take on as a challenge to complete by the 2017 National Robotics Week.

Hah! And that's a reason not to do it again? OK, then, a slight variation. A robot that never does what you command it to do! The brilliant thing about this version is that just about every robot has qualified somewhere along it's development. :)

I'm all signed up for USC's Open House on April 14, so I better do my taxes early...

How are YOU celebrating National Robotics Week?

USC demoed a pair of S2s at their Open House today.

NRW snuck up on me! Was it quieter this year, or am I just too busy and not paying attention? Anybody doing anything big?

  • I hope it is okay to post this, but there is a Month of Robots Challenge on element14 where they are giving away prizes for those selected who post a Robotics related project. They are dedicating this to Gordon McComb .

Sacrobotics will be holding a Table Top challenge on April 11th at their next meeting.

I'm planning to enter my cyber:bot for the Table Top challenge.

That Table Top challenge looks awesome, right there in River City (OK, Rocklin)! Good luck with your cyber:bot, please share some video if you can.
