Sorry if this isn't the right forum.

A friend bought an ELEV-8 V2 and in the instructions, Step 24 "Configure the Flight Controller", the links to Hoverfly's pages for installing software (e.g. the Hoverfly Firmware Update Client are 404ing. Is there a mirror somewhere, or is this page only temporarily down? I've tried almost daily over the course of the last 8-10 days and it's consistently down.

Sorry in advance if I've not included enough information to provide assistance here, I'm pretty new to this scene.

  • Hoverfly has been moving toward the pro market for a while, which is at least partially why Parallax decided to make their own flight controller. They're not making it easy to find their older stuff. Try here:

  • Hi Dyne!

    Welcome to the forums.

I just tried the links you mentioned from this page: http://www.learn.parallax.com/step-24-configure-flight-controller

Step 1. "Follow this link to directly launch the Hoverfly Firmware Update Client. "

That works for me. The link downloads the code as expected.

    Could you try again ?

  • Huh - You're right, that link works for me too.
  • Thanks both, now I feel very happily stupid.

Those links, nor http://hoverflyupdate.com, have resulted in anything but 404 for me or my buddy. Hearing now that they're working for you prompted me to try from my home computer (we've both thus far been trying from work where we're working on the ELEV-8) and it loads fine. Not sure why we can't reach the site from work, I've never seen a scenario where I'd be served a 404 for a working site.

    But hey, that's great!

    Thanks again!!

Hoverfly.com seems to be going through some changes:
    http://www.hoverfly.com/

That's not what we a used to. :(

At least the firmware update site is still working.

I'd like to get a copy of the .eeprom for the Open and Sport before they go away.
