Random "mark all viewed"?

In the past day or so, I've been encountering an odd behavior. When I hit the back button to return to the discussion list, some or all of the other unread threads have been marked as read. I am encountering this behavior on both Chrome in Windows 7 and Chrome in Android.

Has anyone else seen this?

Yes. It used to be one or two lately, but today, half were marked read. Kinda annoying it that I now have to read every post, even ones I have read before.

Been happening on & off, right now is an off period for me. Last week I returned home from a one week vacation, had 3 pages of posts to go through. Started at the end and worked my way forward. Before I finished the oldest page nearly all of page 1 & 2 had become read.
Windows 10, Microsoft Edge. Happens under Chrome and Firefox, too.
