I like my new "HJ" tester with LED readout, which came today. Well worth $7 IMO. Every roboticist needs one!

It also has neutral/centering mode and oscillating mode, just like the $1.50 testers.

Silly me only discovered recently that this HJ Servo tester has another nice feature. In "oscillate" mode (800-2200 ms), the potentiometer changes the oscillation rate over a very wide speed range.

I use testers like this a lot in mechanical development for checking range of motion. Particularly handy for developing one-servo bots which locomote from servo oscillation.

Best price still ~$7 shipped.
