  • Thanks, fellas. I had fun building this thing, and, 30 years later, "I/O-mapped memory" still gives me a grin! I always did have a taste for the wonky. (Off-topic example here.) Strange that I haven't gotten around to hacking with a Propeller (yet)!

    It brings to mind the time we were applying microprocessor control to some machine in the early 1980's, there was a huge mess of hydraulic pipes, spool valves and such controlling some part of the machine. That never did get replaced. It had been there since two generations of engineers before and nobody could figure out how it worked!
