a while ago i fried my ultrasonic range sensor from parallax,·a cap exploded,·no it was not hooked up wrong, i suspect abuse, i was wondering if it was possible to desolder the transducers and then drive them with the prop

You'll notice that you need more than just the transducers, but it's not a lot more.
