Parallax’s Engineering Technicians, Kevin and Nick, participated in the Multirotor Challenge 2013, put on by our friends at Innov8tive Designs. The event was held over the weekend (March 23 and 24) in Fallbrook, CA. As far as we know, this is the first of its kind in the U.S. For being a first time event there were a lot of people that took the time to participate and join this relatively new hobby.
The latest issue of Robot Magazine (March/April 2013) features a spread on the 2012 SRS RoboMagellan Competition hosted by Chibots in Palos Hills, IL. The competition was once again won by Rick Brooks and his robot NoName.
We had a chance to catch up with Rick and learn a little more about his Propeller-controlled robot. Here’s what he had to say:
