This thing is AWSOME! I just got a Basic Stamp HomeWork Board from the Parallax Ebay store. WOW, I just can’t believe how easy it is to program and use a microcontroller. I downloaded and read the "What’s a Microcontroller" PDF last weekend, so I was ready for the board when it got here, but I just can’t get over how easy it is to write code and build circuits.

I bought the BS2 hoping to be able to build a temperature compensating focuser for my telescope, and can see reading a digital thermometer like the DS1620, and controlling the stepper motor will be a snap.

No question, just wanted to shout out my enthusiasm. And thank Parallax for a GREAT product.

Wait until you find out about all the excellent Parallax educational documentation which are FREE for the download, and the collection of columns for Nuts and Volts Magazine, which are also free if downloaded. If you need help, or get yourself in trouble, you will also come to enjoy the OUTSTANDING Parallax and user support to be found on these forums!
