What makes a good lense for in front of an LEDĚ7 segment display? I have seen equipment where it looks like the lense is a smoke black, but the LEDs shine through nicely. I'm making something that may occasionally be used in sunlight and needs resonable protection from being knocked around

Thanks for any suggestions!

I think the color is called IR red.

Your negatives from pictures work well, also. Use the 'start' negative (which should not have any picture on it).

There used to be somebody called EStreetPlastics on Ebay that sold single sheets of transparent plexiglass in various sizes, thicknesses and colors. They may still be there, I haven't looked in a while. It seems like the smallest, thinnest sheet of transparent red that I was looking at was about $7 +shipping. It would have made a LOT of LED bezels though.
