Was asked to·help out at a local·college - they have a deal whereby they use ExpressPCB - Of course my starting point was the Propeller·-·but schematic symbols for the Propeller were not there - so here they are - both Q44 and Dip 40 packages -·might save someone some time.??

Unzip the attached file and place them in the following dir.

\Program Files\ExpressPCB\SchComponents_Custom

Rgds,
······ Quattro

THANK YOU!

I'm in the process of switching to Eagle Light, but I might use Express PCB for a quick prop board... especially since you saved me the time to make the symbol :)

Best,

Bill

Thanks, very helpful, I had done one, but not as good as your two...

Here's an alternate version for the -D40. It's neither better nor worse, just slightly more "schematicy". Stick it in the same place as Quattro's - there is no name clash if you want to use both.

I've added a link to this thread to propeller.wikispaces.com/pcbdesign (http://propeller.wikispaces.com/pcbdesign).

I've also posted a lot of ExpressPCB files with useful footprints... Maybe someday somebody could put all these footprints together into a "library".
I remember that ExpressPCB supports a custom parts library...

@Rayman,

Just checked out your website, you have the diagram I needed. (QFN type). Downloaded. Thanks.

Oops.· I hope my website doesn't say QFN...· It did a year or two ago, when I didn't know the difference.· But, I hope it says "QFP" now!

Help! I can't get the unzipped file into Express. When I went into the command line the directory SchComponents_Custom didn't even exist. Creating one didn't help. It does exist from within the pull downs after one opens ExpressSCH. Besides my basic knowledge, what is missing from this picture. Windows allows me to "extract all" but I can'i get the result properly grafted into ExpressSCH. Why would it go int ExpressPCB instead. Are we really talking about a schematic symbol or a layout symbol?

Custom symbols are in "\My Documents\ExpressPCB\"

Took me a while to find them at first.

For some strange reason telling the apps where to put the .s files didn't work. Putting them on the desktop and resorting to drag and drop did. Now I need to use them well before UPEW. Thanks.
