Universal remote control

I wanted to build a sort of IR remote I could connect to my laptop and control my TV etc... I can decode the IR signals, but I am hung on transmitting. Any suggestions? I would like to use a BS1-USB I have sitting around (I need about 4-5 pins for other functions). -Ash

Hello,

The BS1 will not be sufficiently fast enough to generate the IR codes. You would need to use an SX Microcontroller to do this effectively. Take care.
