EMIC code

I have an EMIC voice board running on a BOE·with a BS2. I have learning the coding for the EMIC. In the sample code in the demonstration program
"Emic_TTS.BS2" they have two RESET routines "Hard Reset" and "Soft Reset". What is the advanage of on over the other or why not just use the "Hard Reset" all the time?

·· Which code/hardware method you use really boils down to either preference or necessity.· The Emic will work with the Easy Code, however great care must be taken to avoid issues.· When using the code which uses the reset line you can assure that you have control of the Emic at any given instant.· I myself use that method of control.· Take care.
