increasing I/O

Hello...


I am working on a project that needs more output pins. I thought I remember seeing an article in nuts and volts but now I cant seem to find it. Can some one direct me to a source of information on this topic? I think the article used a little ic that could be daisy chained and added 8 outputs.

The 74HC595 will do what you want.
