I'm wondering if it's possible to get a BS2 to speak, without the use of·a text-to-speech module. I'm not looking for anything sophiticated, I just want the Stamp to say a few clips, which I'll probably store on the stamp with DATA or something. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry, you can't "digitize" speech and/or music·with a Stamp.· You'll have to get a Jet-Speak or an EMIC, something like that.

There are text to speech modules available here www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=30016 (http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=30016)

If you want to use digitized audio, here's a module that will work with the Stamp www.efx-tek.com/topics/ap-8.html (http://www.efx-tek.com/topics/ap-8.html)

If you want to build your own speech board, see here www.speechchips.com/shop/ (http://www.speechchips.com/shop/)

The price on these types of products has dropped over the past 3 years - currently they cost $50 to $60
